PLD
Bag-Pulling Bottom Discharge Centrifuge
Automated batch filtration with scraper discharge and a bag-pulling step to release residual cake from the filter cloth.
View detailsAPPLICATION ENGINEERING
Review mother-liquor displacement, product solubility, cake permeability and residual heel. The best design balances impurity removal, recovery, cycle duration and process containment.

GKH
A horizontal peeler centrifuge with a siphon liquid-removal arrangement that adds control over the filtration driving force.

FW
Batch filtration with cloth inversion for discharge, designed to release cake without a scraping blade acting on the product.
View detailsShortlisting depends on representative material data and testing. Inclusion here does not guarantee suitability for every material in this industry.
A uniform cake and a distributed wash supply help avoid preferential paths. Cracks, uneven thickness and local compaction can allow wash liquid to pass without adequately contacting the full cake. Increasing wash volume can improve impurity removal, but may increase product dissolution, effluent volume and the duration of the cycle. Collect mother liquor and wash filtrate separately when the process needs different recovery routes.
Ask for washing performance to be included in the trial protocol for GKH, GK, PLD or other applicable designs. Specify whether acceptance is based on residual impurity, wash ratio, recovery, cycle time or a combination. A universal wash-water consumption figure is not a substitute for these results.
