What matters in the process
The basket and filter bag retain the feed material while extraction liquid contacts it and is then separated. Extraction yield depends on contact conditions as well as centrifugal dewatering. Seals, bearings, contact materials and insulation must be compatible with the agreed temperature envelope. Vapor management, inerting where required and electrical classification belong in the project assessment.
A practical example
A test reporting a high extract concentration does not alone demonstrate high recovery. Measure solvent charged, solvent retained in the spent solids, recovered liquid quantity and the analytical basis for the desired component. Temperature and contact time must be recorded so the result can be reproduced.
What to check or specify
- Identify solvent and all relevant feed constituents.
- Define temperature, pressure and area requirements.
- Measure extract recovery and solvent retained in solids.
- Specify transfer, ventilation, cleaning and recovery interfaces.
Turn the result into a decision
The HUADA PSB-P catalogue describes an extraction arrangement and a −40°C design option. Confirm the exact selected design with the supplier and qualified site engineers. Treat the centrifuge, solvent storage, pumping and recovery equipment as a coordinated process rather than independent purchases.
Equipment context: supplied HUADA English catalogue, PDF pages 50. Numerical examples are illustrative calculations. Application guidance must be confirmed for the actual material and selected equipment.
